Signgle Unit Cyclone ? |
This device removes dust by inducing centrifugal force to exhaust gas. This dust removing device is mainly used to collect the dusts with microscopic range of size (10§ or bigger).Gas flows into the inlet of a cyclone along the tangential direction and flows down in circle along the inner wall with the velocity of 14 ~ 21m/sec. This circular movement creates centrifugal force. |
This circular movement around the outlet separates big particles, losing the centrifugal force, to the hopper at the lower part, and discharges gas to the outlet. To prevent re-scattering of collected dust and to improve the efficiency, you can install a double cone, or a small cyclone for blow-down in the dust box that can absorb 5~10% of the treated gas. Types |
Tangential Entry Type: As the most popular structure, exhaust gas flows into the inlet of a duct in the tangential direction. |
Spiral Entry Type: The inlet duct is bent by a revolution along the exterior cylinder to get powerful rotational force. |
Non-Powered Type: Centrifugal separation, by the exhaust gas containing energy, is possible. But the processing speed is relatively low. |
Powered Type: An additional suction fan provides energy to the exhaust gas for more powerful dust collecting. |
Features |

Excellent performance to investment cost and maintenance cost |
High dust collecting efficiency (90% for particles of 10§ or larger) |
Variable performance according to size of dust, density of dust, inflow velocity and fan |
Applications |
Gas Mist of Boilers, Scattered Dust at Chemical Plants, Milling Plants, Medicine Manufacturing Factories, Lumber Factories, Casting Factories, Cement Plants, etc. |
