Silo is a large-scaled container that is installed to store powder and particles in bulk while a container for short time (hours or a day) containing is called the bin. |
|
The relation between diameter and height of a silo is defined as H=2.5D in general, when H stands for the straight height of a silo.
The silo is divided into the storage silo, blending silo, partition silo and the hopper for buffering flow velocity according to uses and purposes. |
